সন্ধ্যাকর নন্দী পাল যুগের বিখ্যাত সংস্কৃত কবি ছিলেন। তিনি ১০৮৪ খ্রিস্টাব্দে উত্তরবঙ্গের পুন্ড্রবর্ধনের কাছে বৃহদবাটু গ্রামে এক কায়স্থ পরিবারে জন্ম গ্রহণ করেছিলেন। তিনি পাল রাজা মদনপালের পৃষ্ঠপোষকতা করেছিলেন। তাঁর বিখ্যাত কাব্য হল ‘রামচরিত‘। রামচরিত কাব্যটি দ্ব্যার্থ অর্থ রয়েছে। একদিকে রামচন্দ্রের সম্বন্ধে অপরদিকে দ্বিতীয় মহীপালের বিরুদ্ধে কৈবর্ত বিদ্রোহ ও তার পরবর্তী ঘটনা বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে। বাংলার ইতিহাসে রামচরিত গ্রন্থখানি অমূল্য সম্পদ।
