300+ Words Essay on Unrest Among Students
Nowadays people often talk about unrest among students. They complain that there is more indiscipline among students now than before. Unrest among students has now assumed alarming proportions. The quiet atmosphere that prevailed in educational institutions four or five decades ago has now become a thing of the dreamland of the past. Instead, the angry cries and hot slogans now shake the sacred temples of learning all over the country.
Students are now so indisciplined and restless that they call a strike on flimsy grounds. They march along the corridors or inside the campus of the schools, colleges, and universities and shout slogans like “Break it and crush it.” Posters projecting various demands appear on the walls of the institutions. They arrange demonstrations and sometimes gherao the teachers and the heads of the institutions to force them to accede to their demands. They think it is heroism to insult or assault the teachers. Sometimes, they call strikes and arrange demonstrations even to satisfy such demands as have nothing to do with academic interest. Copying from books in the examination hall seems to be their democratic right! Thus disturbance has widely spread in the academic arena and institutions have become a hotbed of politics. Even in buses and trains and in society at large, they do not care for fair behaviour.
